July 18: Patrick turns 13 and takes a trip to Mackinaw Island!

Our friend Peter was a gracious host to James and Patrick on this special trip. Patrick had a fantastic time. They stayed at the Grand Hotel, and Patrick ate his birthday dinner in a special dining room. They brought home lots of fudge to make me feel better after leaving me all weekend ;) It helped.. a little. If you have never been to Mackinaw Island, you should go! It is gorgeous, and the fudge is ultra-delicious!~

My Beautiful Grandma Mary

I love both of my Grandmas very much!

I miss this Grandma. She has Alzheimer's Disease and is no longer able to chat on the phone with me. I haven't seen her in a long time. But, I still love her and wish I could just be with her to hold her hand and chat with her in person. She always makes me laugh! She is energetic and social. Even as her brain is failing her. I love you, Grandma Mary!

Rob

We had a blast this summer with my cousin, Rob.
He spent more than 2 months with us.
He trained in Jujitsu with Pat and worked with James.
Rob, James and I even took the 3 older boys to Cedar Point! Fun!
We REALLY hope he will come next summer, too!
