Well, we did not get the house we wanted. We went to see it again tonight and decided not to try to buy it. It needs a good bit of work. So, we wanted to get it
for a steal so that we could make it liveable, etc. But, the bank is not budging. So, we are moving on to other options.
We had another fun night of looking at houses. We only had one crazy story this time :)
It was a house that was SUPER cluttered and full of lots of ugly wall paper, but that was owned by a nice, older lady who GAVE US THE TOUR and showed me all of the little details that I could care less about (The timer on the light in the bathroom, for instance!) And, she told us her life story as we toured the home. We weren't left alone for a second! At the end of the tour, she said, "Well now,
Kathy, you have to taste the BEST well water! I Love my well water!!" And she proceeded to fill a glass. James said, "No thanks, my wife is really a city slicker. She doesn't like well water! We are going outside to see the land," and we booked it out the door. And, no, it is not for sale by owner. She has an agent! IT was the wellwater line that really cracked me up.
Anyway, the
property that we are considering now is on 5 acres. It is a 4 bedroom colonial with a den that is a lot bigger than ours and a study and main floor laundry on the 1st floor. It has a huge unfinished, dry basement. The land is really nice. (And I can always buy bottled water, ya know! LOL!) If you clicked on the link, Just know that the pictures are not very good. The house showed much nicer than it looks online!
Here are a few of my pictures! Keep us in your prayers!
Katie

This isn't a good picture, but the house sits on top of a hill on a manicured section of grass, but is surrounded by 'wild' land of trees and weeds or whatever. Has a pole barn too. (For the chickens/animals we hope to get!)

This is the back of the house. It has a side porch and a back patio. On the other side of the house is a fenced garden area with motion detector lights to scare off the animals!

This little house appears to be a 'tree house' with no tree :)
It probably hasn't been used in a while and would need to be updated. But, I am sure the kids would love to do that!
