January: New Year.. New house?

OK, not a new house, but, we are finally getting rid of the OLD terrible carpet in the DR and LR. YEAH! Our friend Mike is installing Pergo... (It's a little more than half-way done!)

You will notice the (Not so) beautiful linoleum in the kitchen/hallyway. That is staying a little while longer. (It is the old linoleum which was hidden underneath the origianl Pergo flooring, which was damaged)

SO, Here it is, I can't wait to send out "final" pictures next week! Yippee!

(ANyone with 'caring for pergo' tips.. please, do share!)

From the kitchen to the DIning Room

this pic was taken in the living room, and looks into the DR. In the foreground is the subflooring, which has been covered for a long time in a white-ish Berber. Boy, was it dirty!

December 25th: Christmas!

Celebrating Christmas with the Seale Family was a lot of fun.. and a little wild! We had Grandma and Grandpa, all 12 grandkids, 7 kids/spouses, both of my grandmas, and a friend of the family with her 3 kids. A grand total of 27 people! We got there at about noon. We had breakfast on the road in a McDonald's. (See pic) I brought boxes of cereal and milk for the kids. (Who like McD's breakfast, anyway?? Well.. I think James does, but I don't!)
Present opening was about as crazy as it can get.. I think!
Most of the following pictures were taken by my sister Melanie. Check out her work at http://web.mac.com/m.r.photography

December 24: Christmas Eve Children's Choir

This year I directed the Children's Choir for Christmas, again. This is one of my joys! Seamus and Francis joined us, and that is a special blessing to me! The only hard part was squeezing my growing belly into the spot that was reserved for me to direct from! LOL! THe pictures are of: The whole choir, with me directing, Seamus and Francis singing, and me directing a solist. Enjoy!

December 2006: Saying Goodbye

Patrick will be starting at a new school in January.

Francis will be homeschooling for the rest of this school year.

And so, they had to say goodbye to their teachers.

They really liked their teachers, and we are thankful for them!

They will be missed!

November 22: A trip to the Henry Ford Museum

We went with my Grandma M (aka Gigi) to the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit. It was really neat. Gigis favorite part was a huge display with 'set up' kitchens from different eras! The boys especially loved the cars.. oh, and the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile!
