Francis was very excited to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
I know this may confuse some of you.
You might be thinking that ALL CATHOLIC KIDS are afraid of confession!
Don't believe it!
Francis and his friends were VERY excited to be 'made clean'!
Although we are made COMPLETELY and TOTALLY clean by Baptism...
All of us experience temptation and sin from time to time, right?
In this Sacrament, we get to "Unload" our sins and hand them right over to Jesus for forgiveness!
Francis asked me on the day of his First Confession..
"Mom, what kind of cake are you going to make for my confession?"
Cake? I hadn't thought of that! I giggled and told him that I had never made a cake for a first confession!
It was then that he showed me that cake that he had already DESIGNED!
"No More Sin!"
So, of course, I made the cake. We shared it with Melanie and her kiddos.
God is so good to offer us forgiveness.. whenever we ask!
It was an exciting day for us!
